Returns & Refunds Policy

At Situations Designs, we take great care to ensure the quality and craftsmanship of every product. Many of our items, particularly our hand-knotted rugs, are unique works of art. This policy outlines clear and transparent guidelines regarding returns, refunds, and exchanges to ensure a professional experience for our clients and design partners.


Return Eligibility

We accept return requests for eligible items within 30 days of delivery.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The item must be unused and in its original condition.

  • The item must be returned in its original packaging.

  • The item must not fall under the Non-Returnable Items listed below.

Returns that meet these conditions may be approved and are subject to the fees outlined in this policy.


Non-Returnable Items

For health, safety, and customization reasons, the following items are non-returnable:

  • Pillows and Throws – Non-returnable once the original sealed packaging has been opened.

  • Gift Cards – All gift card sales are final.

  • Custom or Special Orders – Items explicitly marked as “Custom Made” or “Bespoke” at the time of purchase are not eligible for return or refund.

  • Final Sale Items – Items marked as Final Sale” are ineligible for return.


How to Initiate a Return

To request a return, please contact us at support@situationsdesigns.com within 30 days of delivery.

All return requests are reviewed to confirm eligibility. Approved returns will be issued a Return Authorization (RA) number along with specific shipping instructions.

Returns sent to our facilities without a valid RA number will not be accepted.

  • Customer-Preference Returns (e.g., changed mind, style mismatch): The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

  • Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items: Situations Designs will provide a prepaid return shipping label via email at no cost to the customer.


Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery. If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery at support@situationsdesigns.com with clear photos of the issue.

Eligible claims will be resolved with either a replacement or a full refund, at no cost to you, including return shipping.


Return Shipping, Fees & Restocking

  • Defective or Damaged Items – Situations Designs covers all return shipping costs. No restocking fee applies.

  • Customer-Preference Returns – All approved customer-preference returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee, calculated from the product price only. This fee covers the specialized labor and inspection required for high-end textiles and imported goods.


Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected at one of our US-based fulfillment centers, we will notify you of the approval status.

  • Approved Refunds: Will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

  • Refund Timeline: Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days. (Your financial institution may require additional time to post the transaction.)

  • Shipping Charges: Original shipping charges are non-refundable except in cases of damaged or incorrect items.
